Liam and his un-birthday!

We celebrated Liams un-birthday yesterday with a dentist appointment, and dr. appointment, Lunch and a trial run of my new lights in a very very small space! here are a few of the shots he "so willingly" Allowed me to take! Enjoy!

adventures in apple picking!

This past weekend we packed up the car and headed east to Hood River Oregon to pick some apples! We started the day off with Lunch at the Double Mountain Brewery. The Jamon Torta is DELISH! After that we headed on to the scenic Fruit Loop! Our First farm was the Rasmussen orchard! We navigated our way through a corn maze, a mother goose themed Gourd art filled tent, it ended with a carmel apple and a piece of pumpkin bread! This is a fun place for kids and adults! You pick apples, pumkpins, sunflowers and corn!

After that we were draper Girls Farms bound! You can peek at their website here www.drapergirlscountryfarm.com It is LOVELY! You grab a bucket and pick your apples, corn, or pears. Unlike most farms you pay by the bucket and not by the pound! We picked an entire bucket of gala and golden delicious apples and some corn. The farm house on the land iss a vacation rental, complete with farm animals, apple cider and a giant swing in the yard that looks out onto mount hood.

Last But not least we headed to the end of our route and checked in to the kiyokawa family orchard www.mthoodfruit.com They have a large selction of apples and a fort for the kids to play in! They will be celebrating my favorite apple the honey crisp this coming weekend with honey crisp cider and honey crisp carmel nachos! i grabbed a few asian pairs and two bags of the best grapes I have ever tasted!

All in all a good time was had! I cannot wait to find someone willing to let me capture their fall memories at one of these farms!
